The 3 functional airports for this trip are:

  • Marsa Alam International Airport: The closest to the resort and cheaper

  • Cairo International Airport: The most connections.

  • Hurghada International Airport: Close to the resort.

  • Luxor International Airport: Usually a bit more expensive.

Regarding getting around, car rentals are the least recommended option. The only exception would be if you plan to drive down from Cairo and return there while having a way to visit Luxor. However, driving in Cairo is highly discouraged due to the heavy and chaotic traffic in the capital.

There are plenty of public transport options and taxis available at very affordable prices, both for moving within cities and for traveling from Cairo to Quseir (for example, with the company go-bus.com). You can also request taxis directly from the Resort if you wish to visit Luxor.

My recommendation: Arrive to Cairo and leave from Marsa Alam/Hurghada if you want to sightsee first and finish with the wedding, or vice versa if you prefer to start with the wedding. I would only suggest using Luxor Airport if you plan to visit the monuments there at the end of your trip and do not mind paying a little extra for the flight.
